What is metal stamping?
The metal stamping process began during the Industrial Revolution as a cold forming method for the production of bicycle frames and handlebars. Starting in Germany, it has grown into an important part of modern industry, used to produce parts for various industries. Due to the low cost of the stamping process, the early automotive industry shifted its parts production from forging to metal stamping.
Metal stamping is a relatively simple process in which rolling or metal sheets (called blanks) are placed in a press with a mold of the desired part shape. Through force and compression, the mold is pressed into the metal. After a predetermined time, the partially completed parts are removed. Although this may seem easy to understand, in reality, several different steps need to be taken, including trimming, finishing, and other procedures aimed at producing finished parts.

Advantages of aluminum stamping parts
