Custom Sheet Metal Stainless Steel Deep Drawing
Deep drawing
Stamping is a general term that covers a wide range of metal forming capabilities and industrial uses.
The diameter of parts produced by metal stamping can range from 0.25 inches or less, to parts of large airplanes, automobiles and home appliances.
Sometimes called metal pressing, it is classified as a cold forming or cold working process, which means that it is usually done at room temperature. View more information about the working principles, applications and advantages of metal drawing.

Deep drawing process
Although it can be modified to make specific parts, our deep drawing process usually follows the same five steps:
Design review: Our engineers will review the part design in detail to ensure it is suitable for deep drawing. This includes an in-depth analysis of part dimensions, materials, stretch ratios and required tolerances.
Press selection: Our engineers will determine the most suitable machine size and diameter for the part size and material.
3D virtual prototype: Use virtual software to create prototypes of parts. Before the production process starts, the prototype is run through a large number of operation simulations to find any design problems.
Equipment setup: Our skilled engineers check the size and requirements of the components and set up the die and punch.
Deep drawing process: Place the sheet metal or metal blank on the mold and fix it. The press is then activated to press the punch against the die with a maximum force of 400 tons. Repeat the process until the component reaches the desired size and shape.
