OEM Enamel Coating Zinc Die Casting
Zinc die casting
Zinc die-casting alloy has a wide range of excellent physical and mechanical properties. Compared with any commonly used die-casting alloy, zinc alloy can be used for die-casting thinner profiles and walls.
Zinc alloys generally allow greater changes in cross-sectional design and can achieve tighter dimensional tolerances.
Zinc is the easiest alloy to cast. It has high ductility, high impact strength, and is easy to electroplating.
Zinc is economical for small parts, has a low melting point and extends mold life.
Zinc die castings are versatile and can be found in many items we use every day, such as motors, seat belts, computers, hand tools, electrical connectors and faucets.
Die casting process
Die casting is a versatile, efficient and economical process used to produce engineering metal parts.
Die casting offers a wider range of shapes and components than any other manufacturing technology.
The die casting process requires a steel mold. These reusable steel molds (called molds) can be designed to produce complex shapes with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
The mold is installed in a machine that injects molten metal into the mold under high pressure. After the molten metal has solidified, the mold is opened and the casting is ejected from the mold. Then the mold is closed and the process restarts.
Advantages of die casting
Compared with many other mass production processes, the die casting process can provide complex shapes within tighter tolerances. Little or no machining is required, and thousands of identical castings can be produced in a short period of time.
Zinc die-casting parts are durable, dimensionally stable and heat-resistant, so they have a long service life.
Zinc die-casting parts are stronger than plastic injection molded parts of the same size. Die castings can be produced with thinner wall parts, which other casting methods cannot achieve.
Zinc die castings can be smooth or textured, and are easy to electroplate or paint, requiring minimal surface treatment.
Zinc die casting simplifies assembly by providing integral fastening elements (such as bosses and studs). Holes can be punched and punched to fit the size of the drill bit, and external threads can also be cast.
