There are several steps to produce precision metal stamping parts. The first step is to design and manufacture the actual tools used to create the product.
Let's take a look at how to create this initial tool: inventory strip layout and design: designers use this tool to design strips and determine dimensions, tolerances, feed directions, scrap minimization, etc.
Tool steel and die processing: Even for the most complex die, CNC can still ensure higher accuracy and repeatability. Equipment such as 5-axis CNC milling machines and wire electric discharge machines can cut hardened tool steels with very strict tolerances.
Secondary processing: heat treatment of precision metal stamping parts to improve their strength and make them more durable. Grinding is used to finish machining parts that require high surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
Wire EDM: Wire EDM uses a charged brass wire harness to shape metal materials. Wire EDM can cut the most complex shapes, including small angles and contours.
